Businesses that Give to the Community
The nominees for the Reader’s Choice Awards of Waterloo Region were recently released. I am so eager to share that I’ve been nominated in 6 categories!
Business that Gives to the Community
Gift Baskets
Giftware/China
Home Décor/Accessories
New Business
Print/Imaging Services
The very first category stands out the most to me, Business that Gives to the Community, and this is why.
Be Kind, It Doesn’t Go Unnoticed
I’ve always wondered if anyone notices the love and kindness I share for my community. It sort of began in April of 2020, less than one month into the pandemic. I was making coffee mugs, raising funds for Grand River Hospital. Shortly after, in June, I was raising money for local Pride organizations. This year, my Signature Mother’s Day Pamper Boxes raised funds for Women’s Crisis Services of Waterloo Region, and my Signature DAD Boxes for Father’s Day are raising funds for House of Friendship. Here and there, I do smaller things, like Pink Shirt Day, Orange Shirt Day, week-long fundraising events, etc. Being nominated for this category means the world to me. It means other people do indeed notice.
Be sure to follow me for upcoming fundraising initiatives!
